This picture is one of my personal favorites. I took it myself on my iPhone. I took it while my Uncle and his son were getting the boat ready to put back on the trailer to take out of the water. If you look closely at the picture you can see his son driving the boat up onto the trailer with the dog sitting up front.

Every summer I am in Florida my Uncle tries to teach me the ropes on boating. I appreciate his time and patience with me because sometimes it takes me a while to learn something. The first summer it was little things like showing me where everything went when we went out on the boat and spent the day at Dog Beach.
The second summer I went out on the boat more. We did more things than day drinking at Dog Beach. We went to Keewaydin, barge parties (these are huge parties where everyone ties their boats together), fishing, diving, and to everything we did in the Keys. This summer I started to learn EVERYTHING. I learned how to tie the boat to the dock, drive the boat, tie different knots, and be first mate. I loved everything about boating.
My third, most recent summer, I was learning and refreshing everything I learned my second summer. I plan on continuing to go Florida over my summers and learning more boating skills along with refreshing the skills I already know. Some day I hope to permanently live in Florida close to my Uncle so we can continue to go out on the boat and have the relationship that we do.
